Very Rich Beef Stew
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds stew beef in 1/2 inch cubes
1 can tomato paste 6 oz.
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar or cider
1/2 C. red wine or use apple juice
1/2 tsp. cumin
4 small garlic cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. cinnamon or more to taste
1 bay leaf
2 Tbsp. raisins-other dried fruit could be substituted
2 whole cloves
Cooking Instructions
Mix all ingredients in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours.
