Turkey Sausage Pilaf
Ingredients
1 chopped onion
1 lb. spicy turkey sausage
1 C. long grain rice
1-1/2 C. chicken broth
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 Tbsp. fresh chopped basil
3 carrots, thinly slice
1/2 C. chopped celery
1 pinch red peppercorns (or green)
Cooking Instructions
Combine onion and sausage in large non-stick skillet. Cook over medium heat; turn to brown evenly. Add remaining ingredients and heat to boiling. Lower heat and cover; simmer 20 minutes until liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes then fluff with fork.
