Trappers Cookies
Ingredients
1 C. sugar
1 scant C. lard
1/2 C. molasses
3 C. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 C. hot water
Cooking Instructions
Cream lard and sugar. Add molasses, then water. Next add dry ingredients that have been mixed together. Mold into a roll and let stand overnight in a cool place. Slice and bake over campfire coals in heavy skillet.
