Toffee Topped Cake Squares 2
Ingredients
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. walnuts; chopped
1/3 C. cocoa
1 egg; lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
3 Tbsp. butter; softened
1 C. powdered sugar
1/3 C. cocoa
3 Tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. maple extract
1/3 C. toffee baking bits
Cooking Instructions
Heat oven 350. Grease 8-inch square baking pan. Stir together sweetened milk, flour, walnuts, cocoa, egg, vanilla and baking powder. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Frost. Sprinkle with English toffee baking bits. Frosting – In small bowl beat butter. Add powdered sugar and cocoa alternately with milk and maple extract, beating until spreading consistency. Makes 1 C. frosting.
