Toffee Bar Dessert Cake
Ingredients
2 C. light brown sugar; packed
2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 C. butter or margarine
1 large egg
1 C. butter milk or milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt; or less
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 C. chopped nuts; optional
6 toffee candy; chopped
Cooking Instructions
Combine sugar and flour; cut in margarine. Reserve 2/3 to 1 C. of mixture. Add egg buttermilk, soda, salt, and vanilla to remaining sugar mixture. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with reserved sugar mixture, nuts and heath bars. Bake 350 for 25-30 minute.
