Spicy Flounder On The Grill
Ingredients
2 lbs. flounder or sole fillets
1/2 C. vegetable oil
1/2 C. water
1/3 C. lemon juice
1/3 C. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 C. grated onion
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt (opt.)
1 tsp. powdered mustard
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
6 drops Tabasco
Paprika
Cooking Instructions
Place fillets in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients except paprika and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool. Pour sauce over fish and let stand for 30 minutes, turning once. Place fillets in well greased, hinged wire grill, reserving sauce for basting. Sprinkle with paprika. Cook about 4″ from moderately hot coals for 8 minutes. Baste with sauce and sprinkle with paprika. Turn and cook for 7 to 10 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serves 6.
