Soy Glazed Turkey
Ingredients
12 lb. turkey
2 Tbsp. bottled gravy mix
2/3 C. teriyaki sauce, bottled or make your own
Cooking Instructions
Drain and rinse well a completely thawed turkey. While still in the sink, use your fingertips to smooth on full strength gravy mix such as Kitchen Bouquet. Put turkey in a plastic cooking bag and place in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch cooking dish. Add teriyaki sauce to the cooking bag. Using scissors, cut off a strip of plastic from the open end and use to tie bag closed (or use string or thread). Slash a small cut on top of the bag, near closure end. If using a temperature probe, place the probe parallel to leg just underneath the leg bone, on the right side of the turkey. Put turkey in microwave oven and set temperature control to 190 degrees. Use medium power. If cooking by time instead of temperature, cook for 90 minutes.
