Baked Turnip
Ingredients
1 medium turnip
3/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. ginger
2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
1/4 C. water
3 Tbsp. butter
Cooking Instructions
Peel turnip and cut into 1/2″ thick slices. Put in a buttered 1 qt. baking dish. Combine seasonings and sprinkle over turnip. Pour water over all and dot with butter. Cover tightly and bake at 425° for 50 minutes or until done. Stir with a fork at least once.
