Shrimp Creole
Ingredients
1/2 C. celery, chopped
1/2 C. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 C. lean ham
28 oz. canned tomatoes, with juice
8 oz. canned tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 pound shrimp, cooked and peeled
Tabasco sauce, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Sauté celery, onion, garlic, and ham in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until celery is tender, about 5 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes over medium heat. Serve over rice.
