Sausage Eggs Protugal
Ingredients
8 slice bread, cubed
1 1/2 pound sausage links
3/4 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
2 1/2 C. milk
4 eggs
3 1/3 tsp. mustard
1 can mushrooms
1/4 C. dry vermouth
1 can mushroom soup
Cooking Instructions
Put bread cubes in 9 x 13 casserole pan. Cut sausage links into thirds; brown and drain. Place over bread. Add cheese. Beat eggs and add milk and mustard; mix. Pour over bread, sausage, and cheese and mix. Cover. Put in refrigerator overnight. About 1 hour before serving time, mix vermouth, soup and mushrooms. Spoon evenly over top of casserole. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. A small can of sliced ripe olives can be added to the first mixture. Happy Charring
