Rice And Pork Chops
Ingredients
4 to 6 well trimmed pork chops
1 C. uncles ben’s rice
1 small can tomato sauce
1 large green pepper
1 large onion
Cooking Instructions
Brown chops well in 1 Tbls. cooking oil. Salt and pepper well (Dutch oven). While browning chops, boil 3 C. water in saucepan. Add 1 C. rice and 1/2 tsp. salt to boiling water and boil for only 5 minutes. Turn off heat and add can of tomato sauce. Turn off heat to browned chops and slice pepper rounds and onion rounds over chops. Pour rice mixture over this and place in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. May need to add a little water while baking.
