Pork Chops And Sauerkraut
Ingredients
6 to 8 pork chops
2 Tbsp. oil
seasoning salt
pepper
1 large can sauerkraut
2/3 C. water
1/3 C. vinegar
1 small red apple, chopped
fine and peeled
1 small yellow onion, chopped fine
1/2 tsp. caraway seed
salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
Sprinkle both sides of meat with seasoning salt and pepper. Brown in the oil in electric skillet on both sides. Remove chops; pour off excess fat. Empty can of kraut into skillet and add remaining ingredients. Stir. Turn down to low and arrange chops on top. Cook for 45 minutes, checking frequently to be sure it does not dry out. Add a little water if it dries out.
