Pine Nut Cake
Ingredients
1/2 C. butter; unsalted
1 C. sugar
1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. milk
2 eggs; separated
2 tsp. vanilla flavored sugar
1/2 C. pine nuts
Cooking Instructions
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add egg yolks and continue beating. Pour a little of the flour in egg mixture, then the milk; while mixing, also add baking powder and remaining flour. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Fold whites into batter. Pour mixture into buttered nonstick 10 inch pan or line pan with foil that has been buttered. Sprinkle surface with pine nuts and vanilla sugar. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
