Oven Barbecued Chicken
Ingredients
2-1/2 to 3 pounds fryer chicken, cut into serving pieces, skin removed
1/4 C. water
1/4 C. vinegar
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 C. chili sauce, or catsup
3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. pepper
1-1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. onion, chopped (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients, except chicken, in saucepan. Place over heat; simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Place chicken in a large baking pan. Pour half of the barbecue sauce over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 45 to 60 minutes. Baste with remaining barbecue sauce every 15 minutes during cooking.
