Orange Sugarless Cake
Ingredients
2 1/4 C. sifted cake flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. shortening
2 tsp. orange rind
1 C. light corn syrup
2 eggs
1/2 C. orange juice or milk
Cooking Instructions
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening with orange rind; add syrup gradually, beating well after each addition. Add 1/4 of flour and beat until smooth and well blended. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each. Add remaining flour alternately with orange juice, beating well after each addition. Bake in two greased 8 inch cake pans at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until it tests done.
