Old World Rye Bread
Ingredients
1 C. -plus 2 Tbsp. warm water,
1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil,
1/3 C. molasses; in a separate bowl mix together:
2 1/2 C. bread flour,
1 tsp. salt,
1 C. medium rye flour,
1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa,
1 Tbsp. caraway seeds; and
3 Tbsp. gluten; optional,
2 tsp. active dry yeast.
Cooking Instructions
Place all in order given in your bread machine and follow manufacturer’s instructions for best results. This recipe can be made with the regular, rapid or delayed time bake cycles.
