Oatmeal Raisin And Honey Bread
Ingredients
1/2 C. golden raisins
2 Tbsp. grated orange zest
1 C. plus 1 Tbsp. water
1 3/4 C. whole wheat flour
3/4 C. oat-blend flour
1/2 C. rolled oats
3 Tbsp. dry milk
1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/4 C. honey
2 Tbsp. canola, safflower or sunflower oil
4 tsp. active dry yeast
Cooking Instructions
Place the raisins, orange zest, and water in a small. saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Drain raisins and zest, reserving the liquid. Measure and add the dry ingredients to the pail. Add the reserved liquid, the honey and the yeast. Program for whole wheat mode. At the end of the mixing cycle, just before the kneading begins, add the drained raisins and the orange zest to the dough. Remove and turn out to cool on wire rack.
