Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C. milk
Cooking Instructions
1. Combine 1 tablespoon margarine and the mushrooms in medium bowl. Microwave at high (100%) until mushrooms are tender, 2-5 minutes, stirring once or twice. Set aside. 2. Place 3 tablespoons margarine in 1 quart casserole. Microwave at high (100%) until melted, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stir in flour and salt. Blend in milk. Microwave at high (100%) until very thick, 3-6 minutes, stirring once or twice. Stir in mushrooms and liquid from mushrooms. Serve over vegetables or meat. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
