Maraschino Cherry Cake
Ingredients
1 1/4 C. sugar
1/2 C. shortening
1/4 C. juice from 5 ounce bottle cherries
1/2 C. milk
4 egg whites
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. nut meats
5 ounces bottle maraschino cherries
2 1/4 C. flour
Cooking Instructions
Flour nuts and cherries before cutting up cherries into quarters. Add egg whites last. Use 7-minute icing. Cream shortening and sugar, add remaining ingredients. Turn into pan. Bake in moderate 350 degrees oven.
