Ingredients

1 C. maple syrup
3/4 C. shortening
3 eggs
1 C. buttermilk
2 C. flour
1 C. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Cooking Instructions

Cream syrup, shortening, and eggs. Mix dry ingredients with buttermilk. Add to creamed mixture and beat until well blended. Bake in 8 x 8 pan for 35 minute or till done. Pan should be greased and floured. Frost as desired.
