Little Fruit Cakes
Ingredients
1/2 C. shortening
2 eggs
1 C. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 C. sugar
2 C. dates; chopped
1/2 C. candied cherries; cut-up
2/3 C. flour
Powdered sugar
Cooking Instructions
Blend shortening and sugar and beat in eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread mixture in a 9 inch pan and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Cut into squares while warm and roll in confectionery sugar.
