Layered Tortilla Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (2 1/4 oz.) sliced ripe olives, drained
6 lg. tortillas
2 C. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 C. water or tomato juice
Cooking Instructions
Crumble ground beef into a 1 quart container. Add onion, garlic salt, chili powder, salt and pepper. Microwave, uncovered 5-6 minutes stirring to break up meat. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce and olives. In 2 quart casserole alternate layers of 1 large tortilla, 1/2 cup meat mixture nd 1/4 cup cheese. Repeat, making 6 layers. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Pour tomato juice around edges. Cover with casserole lid. Microwave 6-7 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
