Kringler
Ingredients
PART I:
1 C. flour
1/2 C. butter
1 Tbsp. water
FROSTING:
1 C. powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Cooking Instructions
PART I: Mix like pie crust. Put on cookie sheet in 2 long strips 3″ wide. PART II: Put 1 cup water in saucepan with 1/2 cup butter. Heat to boiling point. Stir in 1 cup flour into this mixture quickly until smooth. Stir in 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well. After each addition, add 1 teaspoon almond extract. Spread on the first mixture. Bake 45 minutes in hot oven, 400 degrees. When cool, frost. FROSTING: Mix all ingredients and drizzle over Kringler, sprinkle with sliced almonds.
