Key Lime Cake Florida
Ingredients
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 ounce package lime gelatin
5 eggs
1 1/4 C. cooking oil
3/4 C. orange juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
Glaze
3 Tbsp. key lime juice
5 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Whipped cream and lime slices for garnish
Cooking Instructions
Mix all dry ingredients. Add liquids and blend well. Cook cake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool for 15 minute. Prick holes all over cake with fork. Glaze: Mix lime juice and powdered sugar. Drizzle over cake. Cover the cake and refrigerate in pan. To serve; cut into squares and top with whipped cream and thin lime slices!
