Julies Pepper Steak
Ingredients
1 top round steak (*at least 3″ thick, see note below)
2 tsp. tenderizer (sprinkle on meat)
2 Tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. marjoram
1 bay leaf, crushed
1 C. red wine vinegar
1/2 C. oil
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Cooking Instructions
Mix all ingredients and pour over steak in shallow baking pan. Let stand all day turning and piercing meat often with long 2 tined fork. Grill about 6″ above hot coals 15 minutes on each side for rare. *NOTE: It is preferable to have roast 4″ thick. This can be especially requested from butcher shop (since this is an unusual cut, they may seem skeptical, but insist you know what you are asking for).
