Johns Jerky
Ingredients
2 gal. water
1 C. salt
1 C. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Accent
6 cloves garlic
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ground allspice
5 lbs. beef or venison, cut into thin strips
Cooking Instructions
Mix ingredients with water. Place garlic cloves in cheese cloth and crush. Let hang in water. Add meat and soak for 12 hours. Dry over coals, turning often.
