Hot Fudge Cake 2
Ingredients
3 C. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. margarine
1/2 C. shortening
1 3/4 C. white sugar
4 eggs
1 C. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 ounces semi sweet chocolate
2 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. evaporated milk or cream
Cooking Instructions
Cream margarine and shortening. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat 2 minutes after each. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients, beginning and ending with dry. Melt chocolate over hot water with water. Add cream or canned milk and blend well. Grease and flour a 10″ tube pan. Put 1/3 batter in pan, then 1/2 the chocolate and spread over the batter, second third of batter, second half chocolate and lastly the remaining third of batter. Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes or until cake tests done.
