Hoot And Holler Whiskey Cake
Ingredients
1/2 C. butter
1 C. sugar
3 eggs
1 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 C. milk
1/4 C. molasses
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 pound golden raisins
2 C. pecans; chopped
1/4 C. whiskey
Cooking Instructions
Cream butter with sugar and the eggs. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and add it to the butter mixture. Then add the milk. Put the baking soda into the molasses and mix. Add it to the butter and milk mixture. Add the raisins, nuts and whiskey. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake 325 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
