Ingredients

Combine 2 C. raisins
4 tsp. baking soda
Add 2 C. boiling water
Let stand overnight. In morning add:
1/4 C. oil
2 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. sugar
4 C. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Fruit

Cooking Instructions

Mix well and bake in 2 loaf pans or 3 – 1 pounds, coffee tins, greased and floured. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. For fruit cake add 2 C. chopped maraschino cherries, 2 C. chopped dates, 2 C. chopped pecans.
