Hamburger Quiche
Ingredients
3/4 lb. hamburger
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 C. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 C. mayonnaise
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 C. green pepper, chopped
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 C. onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. salad oil
1/2 C. milk
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Pastry for 9″ pie
Cooking Instructions
Line 9″ pie plate with pastry. Prick crust before baking for 10 minutes in 400º oven. Cool. Brown hamburger and drain well. Add seasonings and set aside. Saute onion and green pepper in oil; add to hamburger. Combine mayonnaise, milk, eggs and cornstarch. Add custard mixture to meat mixture. Stir in half of cheese. Pour into pie shell; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375º for about 40 minutes until firm.
