Ham A La King
Ingredients
2 Tbsp. diced green pepper
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. drained shredded pimento
2 to 3 sprigs parsley, chopped
1/4 C. sliced celery
3 Tbsp. flour
1 1/4 C. milk
2 C. cubed cooked ham
1 (2 to 2 1/2 ounce.) jar mushrooms, drained
Cooking Instructions
Simmer green pepper and celery until tender. Drain. Melt butter, add flour gradually rubbing with spoon until smooth. Add milk very gradually at first, mixing with flour and butter. Add rest of ingredients; cook over medium heat until thickened. Taste and add salt if needed.
