Ginger Plum Spareribs
Ingredients
1 (12 ounce.) jar damson plum preserves
1 C. dark karo corn syrup
1/2 C. soy sauce
2/3 C. chopped green onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. ground ginger
4 to 6 pound. pork spareribs
Cooking Instructions
In saucepan, mix together the plum preserves, Karo syrup, soy sauce, chopped green onion, garlic and ginger. Stir constantly over medium heat until boiling. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Reserve 1 C. for basting. Arrange pork spareribs in large open roasting pan in one layer. Cover pan with foil; roast in a 350 degrees oven for 1 1/2 hours. Remove pan from oven. Discard foil. Spoon off fat. Dip ribs in glaze. Return pan with glazed ribs to oven and roast 25 to 30 minutes longer, brushing occasionally with reserved glaze. Serve hot.
