Garlic French Bread
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. yeast
3 C. unbleached white flour(plus an additional 1/4 C. if the dough looks very wet after the first
10 minutes of kneading)
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. garlic; chopped
2 Tbsp. butter
1 C. -warm water
2 egg whites; stiffly beaten
Cooking Instructions
Place all ingredients (room temperature) into the machine except the egg whites. Program for French Bread. After all the ingredients are incorporated by the kneading blade, add the beaten egg whites. Bake in machine or shape dough into baguette loaves and bake in oven @ 425 for 10 minutes, then decrease to 350 for another 10-15 minutes. Bake till top is light brown and bottom is hollow when tapped.
