Fruited Flank Steak
Ingredients
1 pound flank steak to 1 1/2 pounds
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 can fruit cocktail-30 oz.
1 Tbsp. salad oil
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 C. bottled teriyaki sauce
1 tsp. vinegar
1 garlic clove minced well
Cooking Instructions
Sprinkle flank steak with salt and pepper, place in crock pot. Drain fruit cocktail, saving 1/4 C. syrup. Combine 1/4 C. syrup with remaining ingredients, pour over steak in pot. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or until meat is tender. Add drained fruit during the last few minutes. Lift steak out of pot, place it on a platter. With sharp knife, cut thin slices of meat across the grain. Serve hot.
