Frosty Applesauce Cake
Ingredients
1/2 C. butter
1 C. sugar
3 eggs
1 C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 C. milk
1/2 C. dark raisins
1/2 C. golden raisins
1/2 C. nuts, chopped
3/4 C. sweetened applesauce
1 C. old-fashioned oats, uncooked
Cooking Instructions
Beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased and floured 1-1/2 quart ring mold. Bake 350 for 45-50 minute. Loosen edges; cool 10 minute then remove from pan. Cool. Frost with thin confectioners’ sugar frosting, if desired.
