Fried Pumpkin Blossoms
Ingredients
24 pumpkin blossoms
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 C. milk
2/3 C. yellow cornmeal
fat or oil for deep-frying
Cooking Instructions
Remove and discard centers of the blossoms. Wash blossoms well. Beat together the eggs, pepper, salt and milk to make a dip. Dip blossoms in the mixture and then coat with the cornmeal. Fry briefly until golden in the fat or oil heated to 350ΒΊ. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
