French Onion Soup
Ingredients
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 large onions, sliced
1/4 C.(s) flour
4 C.(s) water
1/4 C.(s) soy sauce
4 each slices french bread, toasted or croutons
Cooking Instructions
Heat the oil or water in a large saucepan over med heat. Add the onions and cook for 2 minutes. Add the flour and stir until the onions are well coated. Add the water and soy sauce or tamari, and stir well. Bring the soup to a boil, then turn the heat to low and simmer, covered, until the onions are tender. Add more water if soup becomes too thick. Serve in individual bowls topped with bread or croutons.
