Freezer Slaw
Ingredients
1 quart cabbage, shredded or chopped
1 C. green pepper, shredded or chopped
2 C. cold water plus 2 Tbsp. salt
sugar substitute to equal 1 C. sugar
1/3 C. water
1 C. vinegar
1 tsp. mustard seed
3 C. celery, chopped
Cooking Instructions
Soak chopped cabbage and green peppers in salt and water for l/2 hour. In the meantime, combine sugar substitute, water, and vinegar. Bring to boil; boil for l minute. Remove from heat; add mustard seed. Drain cabbage and peppers. Add celery. Pour vinegar mixture over all; mix well. Can be frozen until needed. Keeps well in refrigerator.
