Favorite Rye Bread
Ingredients
5/8 C. flat beer
1/4 C. water
1 1/2 C. bread flour
3/4 C. rye flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. molasses
grated rind of 1/2 orange
1 tsp. caraway seeds
2 tsp. red star active dry yeast for all machines
Cooking Instructions
Place all the ingredients in bread pan. select a light crust setting, and press “start”. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
