Fajitas 1
Ingredients
1 lb. beef top round, 1/2″ thick
Juice of 1-2 limes (1/3 C.)
1 – 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Flour tortillas, warmed
Sour cream
1 C. shredded lettuce
1 C. chopped tomato
1/4 C. green onions
Shredded cheese
Cooking Instructions
Trim excess fat from steak. Pound to 1/4″ thick. Place in plastic bag; sprinkle both sides with lime juice, garlic salt and pepper. Tie bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 6 to 8 hours. Drain marinade; discard. Broil steak over medium hot coals 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Carve across grain into thin slices. Serve as you would serve tacos. Steak may also be panbroiled in a heavy non-stick frying pan over medium high heat 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally. Fry onions with this, makes it really good.
