Country Breakfast Cereal
Ingredients
3 C. cooked brown rice
2 C. skim milk
1/2 C. raisins or chopped prunes
1 Tbsp. margarine (optional)
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
Honey or brown sugar (optional)
Fresh fruit (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Combine rice, milk, raisins, margarine, cinnamon and salt in 2 to 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil; stir once or twice. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened. Serve with honey and fresh fruit. Makes 6 servings.
