Chicken Paprika
Ingredients
1 frying chicken (3 lb.), skin removed, cut into serving pieces
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1-1/2 tsp. paprika
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 clove garlic chopped
2 Tbsp. flour
1-1/2 C. skim milk
1 Tbsp. white wine
water, as needed
Cooking Instructions
Season chicken with pepper and paprika. Heat oil in skillet and brown chicken on all sides about 10 minutes. Add garlic. Blend flour with skim milk and heat over low flame until mixture begins to thicken. Pour over chicken. Cover and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes. Add a little water, if necessary, to prevent scorching. Remove chicken to a heated platter. Add 1 Tbls. white wine to gravy. Reheat and pour over chicken.
