Chicken And Spaghetti
Ingredients
4 small chicken breasts split, skinned and boned
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
8 oz. tomato sauce
6 oz. tomato paste
1/4 C. water
3 garlic cloves minced
2 tsp. dried oregano crushed
1 tsp. sugar
4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
Hot cooked spaghetti
Grated Parmesan cheese
Cooking Instructions
In skillet brown the chicken in hot oil and drain. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper. Transfer to crock pot. For sauce, combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, garlic, oregano and sugar. Pour sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 to 9 hours. Remove chicken and keep warm. Turn cooker to high heat setting. Stir mozzarella cheese into sauce. Cook uncovered, until cheese melts and sauce is heated through. Serve chicken and sauce over hot cooked spaghetti. Pass the Parmesan.
