Cheese Chips
Ingredients
1/2 C. all purpose flour
1/2 C. whole wheat flour
1/2 C. Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch pepper
pinch curry powder
pinch salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1 medium egg, lightly beaten
2 Tbsp. water
Cooking Instructions
Reserve 1 Tbls. of the all purpose flour for flouring board. In a bowl, combine remaining all-purpose flour, whole-wheat flour, cheese, baking powder, pepper, curry, and salt. With 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg and water; stir into flour mixture until mixture can be gathered into a ball of dough. Knead dough on a lightly floured board 5 to 6 strokes. Roll out to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 2-inch triangles. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
