Ingredients

1/2 C. cooked rice
1/4 C. chopped green pepper
1/4 C. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 recipe for Salisbury Sauce (below)
SALISBURY SAUCE:
1/4 C. catsup
2 Tbsp. chili sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. beef flavored gravy base
1/4 tsp. dried crushed basil
2/3 C. water

Cooking Instructions

Combine ingredients; shape into 4 patties, 1 inch thick. Grill over hot coals. Remove from grill and drain well. Serve with Salisbury Sauce.
SALISBURY SAUCE:
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer 15 minutes. Spoon over Calico Salisbury Steaks.
