Orange Pound Cake And Glaze
Ingredients
2 sticks butter, softened
1/2 C. shortening
3 C. sugar
3 C. cake flour
5 eggs, at room temperature
1 C. cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. orange flavoring
2 C. powdered sugar
1/2 C. frozen orange juice, thawed
Cooking Instructions
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternating with cream. Add orange flavoring. Bake in greased tube or bundt pan at 300 for 2 hours. Mix powdered sugar and orange juice together to make thin glaze. If too thick, add more orange juice. Drizzle over warm cake.
