Braised Red Onions
Ingredients
1 ounce butter/margarine
4 large red onions, thinly sliced
salt and freshly ground black
pepper
Cooking Instructions
Melt the butter in heavy based pot over a moderate heat. Add the onions and cook gently till translucent. Season, then cover and simmer over a very low heat for 20 minutes. Stir and transfer to a warmed serving dish.
