Pea Soup With Sausage 2
Ingredients
8 oz. smoked sausage halved lengthwise then cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 package dried split peas 16 oz. sorted, rinsed
3 medium carrots sliced
2 celery ribs sliced
1 medium onion chopped
3/4 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
1 bay leaf
2 cans reduced-sodium chicken broth 14 1/2 oz. each
Cooking Instructions
Heat small skillet over medium heat. Add sausage, cook 5 to 8 minutes or until browned. Drain well. Combine sausage and remaining ingredients in crock pot. Cover and cook on low 4 to 5 hours or until peaches are tender. Turn off heat. Remove and discard bay leaf. Cover and let stand 15 minutes to thicken.
