Tomates Provencales (French)
Ingredients
4 medium tomatoes
1 – 2 garlic cloves (or garlic powder)
dried oregano (or fresh)
2 Tbsp. olive oil
salt
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°. Slice tomatoes in half through the middle Set them in the dish you will be baking them in, cut side up. Sprinkle a little salt over them to bring out the flavor. Crush the garlic and divide over the tomatoes, putting a little on each (if you’re not too keen on a lot of garlic, just put a small piece in the middle of the tomato to flavor it). Sprinkle oregano on the tomatoes. Drizzle olive oil over each tomato, about a quarter Tbsp. each tomato. Bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes or until tops begin to look a bit golden.
