Tangy Glazed Drumsticks
Ingredients
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. honey
1 garlic clove, crushed
3 Tbsp. corn oil
3 Tbsp. catsup
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili sauce
2 pinches five spice powder
8 chicken drumsticks
fresh watercress sprigs (optional)
lemon slices (optional)
Cooking Instructions
In a saucepan, combine onion, honey, garlic, 2 Tbls. of oil, catsup and tomato paste. Add Worcestershire sauce, chili sauce, Five Spice Powder and let simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. In a blender or food processor, process mixture to a smooth paste. Add remaining oil and stir well. Arrange chicken in a roasting pan. Brush with marinade and let stand for 1 hour. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400. Bake chicken in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, turning and brushing frequently with marinade juices. Serve hot or cold, garnished with watercress sprigs and lemon slices, if desired.
